The Law of Attraction: Money in the Making

When using the Law of Attraction, what could be a more common goal than to attract money?  Money buys things we enjoy, money can buy us time, and ultimately money can buy us freedom.  They say money can’t buy happiness, but money can provide almost all of the elements that constitute happiness.  With freedom of time and freedom of finances comes the freedom of choice.  Isn’t that what makes most of us truly happy?  Having the freedom of choice to do what we want when we want?

And so, using the Law of Attraction, you can attract all of the wealth and abundance into your life that you deserve.  Now remember that money is a means, and that the money itself isn’t all that exciting.  When visualizing, visualize yourself with the ends, not the means.  Visualize yourself flying to the Bahamas, or playing on the beach.  Visualize yourself skydiving, surfing, or doing whatever it is you would do if you had the time and money to do what you wanted.  Feel free to visualize yourself buying whatever you want.  Make sure that in your visualization, money is never a problem.

By focusing more on the ends (freedom of time, freedom of choice) and allowing the means to simply be a no-problem part of your mental movie, you will begin attracting those freedoms.  Since those freedoms require money, you will naturally attract money.  Keep an eye out for any signs the universe sends you, as it may be necessary for you to take action where appropriate.  Once you put the energy out there and the universe begins working for you, you need to remain alert!

The universe and your subconscious mind are intimately linked.  You need to send clear messages to both that you value money and that money is important to you.  That means reaching over to pick up pennies in the parking lot, etc.  Otherwise, be it a penny or thousand dollar bill, you are sending a message to your subconscious and the universe that you don’t need/want/value money.  It has been said that Bill Gates will stop to pick up a dollar on the sidewalk.  That was meant to be a display of his greed, but in fact what that story illustrates is his wealth-centric state of mind.  Similar things have been said of Donald Trump.  What a shame it would be to be in the same boat with two wealthy fellows such as those!

Finally, once you have placed your order of wealth to the universe, relax but remain ever alert.  Sometimes it seems by the very act of remaining alert, the universe is able to meet your desires more quickly.  Otherwise you may miss the opportunities.  Take each moment in your daily life as a personal message from the universe to you, and watch for anything out of the ordinary that may contain the seed for your desire to become manifest.  Good luck!

Wealth Creation Using the Law of Attraction

How can we use the Law of Attraction to create wealth in our lives?  How do we attract abundance?  These are important questions, and it is time to set them to rest.

First, let’s define the term “wealth”.  Wealth, generally spoken of in terms of money, is defined as such: “an abundance or profusion of anything; plentiful amount.”  If you have loads of great friends and family, that is wealth.  If you have a library of your favorite books, music, movies, or video games, that is also wealth.  Wealth infers much more than just money – wealth infers a state of being that is abundant and fulfilled.

Of course, the first law of attracting abundance is to be grateful for what you already have.  This creates a state of mind in which more things will flow for which you can be grateful.  The “Attitude of Gratitude” will take you a long way towards manifesting wealth.

Next, you must be open to opportunities which present themselves when you are actively attracting wealth.  Maybe your aim is money, but you find that you have seemingly attracted a new person into your life.  That person may have the business idea to make you both a load of money.  Perhaps you want to attract a new love, but instead you meet a new person you are not particularly attracted to, although you begin to become friends.  Perhaps that person will connect you to the one you are actually attempting to attract.

The ways in which things manifest are not always direct.  Often, a means or connection through which you can attain your goal is what will come your way.  If you don’t acknowledge or accept this gift, you will not get your desire.  Keep an open mind in life and try to accept any little gifts that come your way, as they may in fact bear the seed of your desire’s full manifestation.

Take some time to yourself and truly ponder your most important goal.  Concentrate on it, meditate on it, and imagine feeling that you already have it.  After efforts like these, be particularly sensitive to any little thing out of the normal that occurs that day or the next.  The universe often works very quickly, and the very phone call that interrupts your meditation may be the one that holds a seed to your desire’s manifestation.  Remain open, remain aware, and keep in mind – there are no coincidences in life.  Everything little thing happens for a reason.

If you truly practice being grateful and aware, and remain vigilantly alert for the ways in which your desires may be presenting themselves to you, you will be successful at manifesting the things you want.  As this happens, you will only get better and better at magnetizing desires, until you will largely be doing this without even realizing it on a daily basis.  Once your life is based around consciously utilizing the Law of Attraction to manifest your desires, you will truly have created a life of wealth.

Attracting Your Million Dollar Idea

Everyone on this Earth has something of value to another.  Each of us is capable of being very prosperous and happy.  And yet, so many of us struggle day after day.  We are caught in a cruel rat-race, and many times we can barely come up for breath.  Yet, to each of us, there is hope.  Using the Law of Attraction, I want to teach you how to pull to yourself your Million Dollar Idea.

We all are here for a reason.  We all have something that only we can offer.  To discover our purpose is to discover that which both makes us happy and makes us wealthy.  We were not meant to fear, hurt, or suffer.  However, we all have been guilty of doubting ourselves, and we must learn to move through this.  These are very basic things that you must realize before you can even begin to uncover your million dollar idea.  If you find it, but doubt yourself and do not act on it, you may not find it again for years.

You may want to make a list of things you know.  You can list things that you have specific knowledge in.  You might try to narrow the list down into something you think is worth a lot in the market place.  There are hundreds of books for that tactic.  What I want to reveal to you today is a tactic that is far simpler, but you must be willing to put in the effort and specifically to remain very aware for the answer.

Find a time when you have half an hour to yourself.  Find a comfortable, private place that is quiet and relaxing.  Sit (or lie) or get comfortable in whatever way you want.  Listen very attentively to the sounds around you.  If the room is silent, listen to the silence.  Become aware of your breathing.  Count thirty breaths (in-out one, in-out two).  When you have finished this your body and mind will be very relaxed and in the perfect state to continue.

Close your eyes and repeat out loud, “I intend my million dollar idea to present itself to me now.  My million dollar idea is here and now and I will that it show itself.”  Now listen to the silence, focusing on what you just said.  Every few seconds when you begin to feel your mind wandering, repeat the process – say it aloud again, then listen and feel the power of your words as they reverberate through your being.  Continue this for as long as you can, then become aware of your breathing for ten breaths.  Then you may get up and go about your life.

Now you have put out a charged desire for your million dollar idea to present itself to you.  I won’t go into it, but the world you perceive around you is actually within you – everything in your external world is merely a representation of something internal.  So what you need to do now is to remain aware of what you are doing throughout the day.  When you are talking to someone, listen very deeply to what they are saying.  If you stumble across a book, a magazine, or a proposal of some sort, pay extra attention to it.

What will happen is that something in your external life will happen that will present the million dollar idea to you.  Does your friend have a problem that you happen to have a solution to?  Is that solution possibly your million dollar idea?  Do you hear someone talking about something they wish they had, but nobody has created it?  Do you hear anyone complaining about a lack of something that maybe you could provide?

The funny thing is, sometimes your million dollar idea won’t sound like a million dollar idea to you at first.  As your day passes (and the next day), write down everything you think might be a hint.  Dreams are especially important.  What you will begin to find is a pattern based around one certain idea, one certain need, that others have.  You will begin to find it over and over again.  This is the process of your idea presenting itself to you.  Once you are sure you have it, then begin to develop it, and keep faith in yourself.

The simplicity of this exercise is deceiving.  The universe, our external reality, is constantly communicating to us on a personal level, because our external reality is in fact only a manifestation of our internal.  The process of giving an intent and question and then really paying attention to personal messages coming out of the world around you will help you open up to the process of life.

You see, the best million dollar ideas are not things that you think are cool or inspiring.  They are things that others need – things that benefit others!  That’s very often the simple rule that we overlook in life.

The best moment is when you realize that we don’t actually have one million dollar idea.  We have an infinite number of them at our fingertips!  All we need to do is ask and listen.  May your life be enriched and your dreams come true!

Manifest Monday: Re-Watching The Secret

It was five years ago that The Secret (both the film and the book) was released.

This weekend, I realized I hadn’t watched it in years. It struck me as being strange that I hadn’t watched the film since 2006. Back then, I remember watching it a few times within two weeks but then moved on to reading other books, listening to other audio programs, helping David with his law of attraction books and, now, writing my own.

I thought about all the jokes that were made about The Secret and all the criticism it got. People would say how ridiculous the film was because, to them, it portrayed manifesting as though you just thought of something you wanted and it instantly appeared.

I also thought about how the people who were in the film went on to become international celebrities because of their appearance—how, on one end of the spectrum, Abraham-Hicks became hugely popular and, on the other end of the spectrum, the tragic deaths at a James Arthur Ray event.

The Secret really did make an impact on a lot of us. What I wondered the most was, after all these years, was the film still as inspiring and motivational as it had been the first time I saw it?

So, I watched it again on Saturday; a part of me hoping to feel the same excitement I did the first time I saw it.

No matter what one thinks of James Arthur Ray, I thought, he really was the one who explained the law of attraction with the most clarity.

Within the film, Bob Doyle said this:

So, the law of attraction, the study and practice of the law of attraction, is just figuring out what will help you generate the feelings of having it now. Go test drive that car, go shop for that home, get in the house. Do whatever you have to do to generate the feelings of having it now, and remember them. Whatever you can do to do that will help you to literally attract it. It could be you wake up and it’s just there, it manifested.

Or, you might get some inspired idea of some action to take.

You certainly shouldn’t be going, ‘Well, I could do it this way, but man I would hate that.’ Because you’re not on the right track if that’s the case. Action will sometimes be required, but if you’re really doing it in line with what the universe is trying to deliver, it’s going to feel joyous.

You’re going to feel so alive, time will just stop, you could do it all day.

I can understand how the notion of waking up and discovering what you desire is “just there” can seem far-fetched to some people. At the same time, I think of the times I went to bed thinking about how I needed more money. The next morning, I checked my e-mail and saw a client had booked a session with me and sent money via PayPal.

You could say the film was really quite basic, but the message that was repeated was an important one: you can choose the life you want rather than living by default and being unhappy with your current circumstances. I think the same message all of the teachers in the film gave was to be aware of how you are feeling and use your feelings to attract good things into your life.

How long has it been since you watched The Secret? Do you feel any differently about it now than you did when you first saw it? I’d love to read your thoughts and experiences.

If you haven’t watched the film in awhile, I recommend pulling it out and watching it again.

How to Attract Great People in Your Life

This blog has been up for about five years, first under, then, and for the last few months,, since we wanted to consolidate everything. When that switch happened, I handed over most of the writing to my business partner, Wendy.

I met Wendy on October 9, 2006. I know because she never lets me forget it. Today, September 15, is her birthday…which she never lets me forget either!

That got me thinking…

I can say that the day I met her was definitely the start of something life-changing, but at the time, it was just another evening. I was working from home and decided to listen to a talk radio, since my radio show as pretty fresh and I thought listening to other talk radio hosts would help me to become a better host myself.

Found a show about new age stuff, specifically psychics and mediums. Had been exposed to that type of work in the past and even worked as a psychic at one point, so I checked it out.

At the very end, a woman called in and asked about the business of being a psychic. She had been doing it for years, but was looking for a way to expand. As growing businesses is what I do, I perked up.

At the end of the call, the host said, “Give us your website so we can send you some business.”

She did…and I typed it in my web browser.

The site was ok, but I had some ideas to make it better. Wrote her a quick email that said, “I’m a marketing guy. Have some ideas on how you can get more business.”

That started the conversation…and within a couple of weeks, I had hired her to do customer service for my company. It wasn’t a position I was looking to fill, but I was having problems with customer service at the time and made me an offer to take over that aspect of the business for me.

She wasn’t looking for “customer service” work, but because she was looking for somebody to mentor her in business and marketing to help her expand her psychic business, working with me in that capacity would enable her to have that.

So here we are, just shy of five years working together, and she is running the show.

I know a lot of people here aren’t just looking for more money, but looking for partnerships to help them. And here is how Wendy and I came together…

  1. Find a Problem and Solve It– The relationship started and kept going because we each found a problem and made an offer to solve it.
  2. Be Nice and Help People – You never know who you’ll be helping or what they’ll be able to do for you.
  3. Be Open and Say Yes – I’m sure it was crazy to get an email from some guy claiming to be able to help solve a problem (and willing to do it for free), but that’s exactly what happened and what she said “yes” to and nothing would  have happened had she not done that.

Opportunity for what you want is all around you. Say “yes” to it. Had I never turned on the radio or reached out, no telling where I would be now.

Thank you, Wendy, for saying “yes” as well!

Also, keep in mind that you might be in the middle of something life-changing and not realize it now. So trust what you want is coming (or is here) and keep at it with an open heart!

Manifest Monday: The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment

The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment

By: Maria Nemeth

The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment, by Maria Nemeth, Ph.D., outlines a distinctly unique approach to one of the most dominant yet forbidden topics in modern society: money, and how we deal with it. A clinical psychologist who once lost $35,000 in a fraudulent investment scheme, Nemeth learned from that ordeal (and similar experiences of friends and associates) how most of us develop relationships with money, and the ways in which we subsequently can bring these in line with our actual dreams and realities. She initially used this knowledge to start a workshop called You and Money, which eventually attracted more than 4,500 participants and led to the development of concepts now delineated in this book.

Quoting relevant wisdom espoused by those ranging from Joseph Campbell and Ram Dass to Mark Twain and Dorothy Parker, Nemeth sets out “12 principles for personal fulfillment” designed to help readers “uncover the hidden landscape of beliefs, behavior patterns, and habits that underlie and sometimes subvert how you use money and other forms of energy.” The result is a refreshing, useful, and surprisingly accessible mixture of universal financial advice and the much rarer–but no less important–ethereal side of fiscal self-management.

Combining a complete self-help and self-discovery regimen with proven methods of money management, this powerhouse guide to prosperity presents twelve principles that will help you to

– Uncover the hidden landscape of beliefs, patterns, and habits that underlie and sometimes subvert your everyday use of money and personal resources
– Tame the dragons of driven behavior and busyholism
– Defuse fears of deprivation and scarcity
– Embrace and work through paradox and confusion
– Consciously focus your money energy
– Clear yourself to receive the energy and support of others and the universe
– Develop and stay on your personal path to abundance

Through easy-to-follow exercises and meditations, effective worksheets, and other interactive processes, Dr. Nemeth will guide you to financial success and help you manifest your special contribution to the world.

Way back, years before The Secret came out, by chance, I came across this brilliant book.

Written from more of a self-help perspective than a spiritual one, this book helped me to realize the emotions that come from our beliefs about money completely dictate whether we attract money or whether we repel it.

Two of the chapters, Scarcity Is One of Your Greatest Teachers and Releasing Old Beliefs Brings Miracles were life-changing for me after I read them (a few times!). Granted it’s not easy to release old beliefs, but you finally see that holding on to some of your beliefs may not be serving you–and may be the cause of constant financial struggle–just the awareness that it’s time to examine your beliefs about money is a good start to change.

Within the book, the author asks you to write a “money biography” detailing your financial highs and lows throughout your life.  As you write, you really do begin to see influences and then patterns. It’s quite a powerful task to undertake.

Not only do I recommend this book, but I would suggest reading (or re-reading) The Science of Getting Rich and follow it up with this book. I think both books together will really help you to begin approaching money attracting with more confidence and clarity.
