Have you ever caught yourself saying ‘I could never afford that.’ Or, ‘I’ll never make enough money to go on a trip like that.”? While you may just think of them as off the cuff comments in a conversation, your subconscious doesn’t. You’ve just set it on a course to keep you from being able to earn enough money to afford an item or trip. You have limited your earning potential with your negative words, because your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between a meaningless comment and one that has merit, it just processes the words.
You can also sabotage your path to prosperity by predicting that things will go wrong. At one time or another we have all been guilty of saying something like, ‘it seems every time I get ahead, something happens to make me broke again.’ By saying that, you have just predestined yourself to hit a snag every time you get ahead in your financial situation.
Negative words have a strong impact. Think about when you use negative words. Usually is it when you are angry, frustrated, hurt or have other strong feelings. Those negative words are said with a lot of emotion, and strength, making them extremely strong words, with an extremely strong impact. Using those strong negative words against yourself is essentially waging a war with yourself as you try to find your path to prosperity. Days and weeks of work on affirmations and denials can be tossed aside by a few emotionally charged negative words.
It’s not just your own words that can make you take steps backwards, but also negative words by the people who are around you. If you know of a person who always talks about the high cost of everything, and how it’s impossible to afford things or get ahead, you will go right down into the pit with them, and negate all your progress.
The most important thing to remember is you get out what you put in. If you put in negative thoughts, you will get negative results. But, if you put in positive thoughts, you will get positive results, and a step forward on your path to prosperity.
Make a solid decision to stop thinking negatively about money, and watch the change.
